- Climb to the top of the Monte district located 1800 feet above sea level. At the top of the hill stands the church of Nostra Senhora do Monte and meet the famous carreiros with straw hats. Ride of about 10 minutes to enjoy wonderful views of the bay. We will visit to the Botanical Garden with 2000 species of exotic plants. From its viewpoint, you will have one of the best views of Funchal
